Is this an air conditioner?
No — it's an evaporative cooler. It cools the air immediately around you using water atomisation, which is very effective at a desk or bedside, but it won't cool an entire room the way an air conditioner does.
Does it need to stay plugged in?
No. It has an 1800 mAh battery giving 1–6 hours on the first gear and up to 3 hours on strong, so it can run cordless. It charges in 2.5–3 hours over USB.
Can I put ice in it?
Yes — it supports ice water cooling, which noticeably drops the output temperature. It's also compatible with essential oils if you want scent.
What's the difference between the L7 and L8?
The L8 adds a digital display; the L7 is the standard humidifying air cooler. Otherwise the cooling function is the same.
Will it make the room humid?
It adds moisture to the air as it cools, which is why it doesn't dry your skin the way air conditioning can. In an already very humid climate that's worth bearing in mind.
